What piece is this??
on: January 19, 2015, 09:45:03 PM
There is a classical piece at the beginning of this commercial that I can't put my finger on. I want to say it's Chopin but I haven't been able to find it. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

I was thinking Chopin too. There is another piece by Chopin or Brahms I think that sounds similar. A piece that's more well-known than this variation. Probably a Chopin prelude....
"The first song which was used in the commercial ad of 2015 Subaru Legacy is “Bach Goldberg Variation No. 25″ arr. by Dario Boente..."
(It's not a song...)

Thanks!! The bit played in the commercial is very Chopin"esque" but as I listen further I can hear Bach. No wonder it was driving me crazy, I listened to the Goldberg Variations religiously when driving back and fourth to college for two years. I must have heard it 1000 times!!
