Amazing Grace - piano duet - who are the pianists?
on: January 25, 2015, 03:26:18 AM
I posted on youtube a piano duet of Amazing Grace that I found in my computer, saved in July, 2007.  I have no idea where I got it.  The pianists are playing on a stage in a concert hall, and the older one is wearing tails, all of which makes me suspect that they are classical pianists.  There are a few words of a foreign language at the beginning, but I cannot identify it.  Does anyone know who these guys are???  The post is at
and is called Amazing Grace - Piano Duet - Who are the Pianists?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

So glad I finally found out, thanks to an answer from Mark Sockwell on youtube.  The tall one is Adam Gyorgy and the bald one is Steven Spooner, pianist and Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Kansas.

I had a lesson from Dr. Spooner before.

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
