Mozart Fantasy C Minor K475 - Piu Allegro
on: January 26, 2015, 05:22:16 AM
Hi all

I'm working on the fantasy and struggling with getting the right hand notes in the Piu Allegro section even.

What fingering and techniques have you found helpful for getting those opening bars sounding even?  I'm using my fourth finger on Bb and third on A.  My sense is that the fingers needs to stay on the keys, with degrees of finger independence and hand rotation. However I can't get the balance right.  Too much arm weight and the hand is too floppy to depress the keys and to much finger independence makes hand/arm rotation more difficult.

Any tips for practicing this section would be helpful.

thanks

Andrew

Bb - 3, A - 2

It's about using the all necessary movements to facilitate depressing the keys.  From your description, it seems like there's at least one movement that you are completely unaware of.  'Hand drop'/'wrist rise'.  Figure it out.
