VIDEO: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata first movement
on: January 31, 2015, 03:11:27 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forums I recently made my first home performance of Beethoven's Moonlight sonata movement 1. I'm still a beginner at piano so there are one or two mistakes but I hope you don't mind that
.
I appreciate any feedback.

Main thing... Lift up (re-take the pedal), AS you play the first note of each bar (or minim in some cases). You're lifting it up before you play the note and this is why you have small gaps or 'hiccups' of sound in your playing.
Very important.

Also, please, when playing classical music, do not call it a "cover". While this is appropriate for video game medleys or pop/jazz tunes or arrangements, it is not for classical pieces. You could call it a piano performance or piano interpretation, but please, not a cover.
