Good to see Medtner being promoted. I brought it in for lessons many years ago, very rewarding music (although I often feel more so for the performer/ pianist than the audience).

I agree that Medtner may be more rewarding for the performer than it is for the listener. The text is quite dense, and the rich thematic pattern may not always be obvious to the ear, which makes it even more of a challenge to make the interpretation as revealing as possible, without turning it into a bravado piece.
