How to Prevent Banging?
on: February 14, 2015, 02:25:49 AM
Hi, I'm learning 2nd movement(Adagio) of Marcello's Oboe Concerto transcribed by Bach. When I do a crescendo, or when I play loudly, it sounds too banging. Any tips on practicing on it to make it less bangy, but still make a crescendo/deep sound?
Thanks,

A bangy sound can be caused by a stiff wrist, make sure your wrist is loose and that your fingers are moving to produce the sound of being stiff. Make sure to voice the chords.
