Hi Chris,

I listened to and enjoyed both of these Kapustin preludes.  This music must be devilish to learn!  Of the two I personally liked No. 4, as the jazzy sound is more sassy.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks David ! I agree no.4 is more appealing than no.8 which is a bit monotonic and hard driven. Indeed these pieces are very hard to learn, and though I think I have the spirit there still are some little slips here and there.

I think you would do well to post the Kapustin also to P.W.  You play it very effectively and they would enjoy hearing it.

Thanks, but I don't hang out in P.W. Piano Society and Piano Street are quite enough for me :)

Thank you ! There's one spot where I still struggle and there's a little untidyness, but you probbaly only hear that if you know the piece very well.

Thank you Emill ! I almost got it clean, just one or two tiny slips in the middle. That it sounds jazzy is a great compliment. This not at all easy, and doesn't come natural, for a classical pianist. Playing Kapustin is probably the best (if not the most easy) way to achieve that.

Tiny slips just add to character haha, don't be too hard on yourself.
