Which edition / version of La Campanella to learn?
on: February 27, 2015, 04:48:35 AM
Hello! I'm looking to start learning Liszt's "La Campanella," and I'm having a hard time figuring out which version to learn, as I notice there are a number of different versions and editions.
Which edition and version of La Campanella is the one most commonly used in competitions and by pros in concert?
(I really like the one Yundi Li played.)
Any advice you folks have on which version is the "standard" version to learn would be great. Thanks a bunch in advance!

The standard version is the one from the
Grandes études de Paganini
, S.141. Any decent published version should be fine, as should the
one from PianoStreet
, or one of
the ones from IMSLP
.
