Fantasy on Verdi's Miserere (video)

My own composition, revised from an earlier improvisation. Please forgive my thirds, the room was freezing cold! Other than that I'm fairly happy with it. Feedback welcome.

Hi ronde_des_sylphes,

This is very well done.  Don't beat yourself up over the thirds.  If one can create beautiful sounds at a piano then technical issues related to a particular time and place don't matter very much.  I am glad you are carving a niche out for yourself as the Operatic Pianist.

Thanks, and yes I do agree with this perspective on the technical issue, as I know they will ultimately be better when needed. The thirds still sound bad, but when I was playing they sounded like I was dropping coals indiscriminately on the piano! It is very gratifying to have had a little bit of recognition from the wider world for my efforts; it doesn't really make them any artistically better than they are but it is a vindication of having chosen to specialise in this peculiar little corner of the repertoire.
