About a month or two ago I posted Reve de l'Eau, and original composition of mine for septet. It was met with some helpful advice as well as a desire to hear the original version which was for solo piano. I have had the opportunity to record the piece and the accompanying movements and would greatly appreciate any helpful suggestions about the piece. Please READ THE DESCRIPTION, it should answer most questions that anyone might have. But just to be safe, let me make one thing very clear, I am well aware that may playing is atrocious in these recordings, I was on a very tight time constraint, and there are some very cringe-worthy moments. I can only imagine what this music might sound like in the hands of a real pianist.

Some interesting stuff bro! I'm just bumping this so that the more experienced members can you give you some awesome advice on your work! You also play your stuff, that's *** great! I was getting sick of all the people who compose piano music with their *** computers.

A very nice set, and I don't find the playing atrocious. The mistakes such as there are, are in style, as one can expect from a composer playing their own work. I like your harmonic language, but if I may offer a little criticism it's that you seem to over-use your material. Persoannly I would welcome a bit more contrast and variety.

Wow, I've only listened to the first one, but from my laymans point of view it sounds really good. It reminds me a bit of Hans Zimmer.

Thanks for listening. And I agree, adding more variety to my compositions is something I need to work on.

Hi :),

Being a "layman & non-pianist" I am unshackled by the "rules" that many musicians are bound to and just listen and allow music to "flow through me".  The first part hit me with sadness, sorrow, some gloom and despair.  The contrast to the beginning of the 2nd part was quite effective ... it offered a glimmer of hope, of much less sadness and perhaps  eventual joy and happiness.  Frankly I got lost in the 3rd part .... but along the way some degree of clarity began to develope and ended up with a clear resolution beginning 18:04.   THANKS for posting.

Now, to read your description. :)

Thanks for listening. Since these pieces are meant to evoke images more than emotions I find it interesting that you were still able to connect to it from an emotional standpoint.
