tablet satchel?
on: March 17, 2015, 11:10:27 PM
Maybe for a phone, maybe for a small tablet device.

Something (yeah, it's looking a purse...) that would stay at the waist, maybe have a shoulder strap... something manly though  ::) that isn't a fanny pack (yuck it up, I'm American).

Small and out of the way.  That's the point.  But still allowing that device to be present and available.

Potentially even something that stay on the back could work.

Still thinking....

Almost like a tablet holster maybe....

I don't think anything would work.  Those things are still too freaking big.

Belt clip.... Something that stays under the arm, just above the waist....

Hm...

But not $300.

Maybe a map case then....

Interesting.  It's like an add-on pocket.

I'm thinking the size of a device might be too big for what I want.  Attached, ready to use, but not in the way.

The lower back would be a good spot for holding something if you're walking or sitting all the time.  (sitting without resting on the back of the chair)

This one's kind of interesting too.

It's smaller.  That's the point.  Potential damage to a device though because of that.

Some kind of spandex wrap thing or a special shirt could work, but that would look weird.  Unless it was covered.

Satchel-wise, I was thinking... If you flipped it to the your back when you wanted, and then flipped it to the side when you wanted... That might work.

I don't think this thing exists...  It still ends up looking like a purse.

Unless... The strap was connected so it sat up higher than at the hip....  It's also sounding like a gun holster, the inside the jacket/pocket kind.

That's funny.  I searched for gun holster.  Those are pretty much the places I was thinking of -- side hip, upper side hip below the armpit, lower back, and potentially on the upper leg like visitor posted.  They're gun locations.

Yep... "tablet holster" or "smartphone holster" is looking like what I was thinking of.  But... Still to bulky and odd-looking to actually get and use.  The only reason for that is because people are around though.  If there weren't... I might go something like that.

This one's looking too big for the tablet though.

Here's a picture of Bruce Willis with one.

Also kind of interesting...

If you want to look like you are there to do business.  A set of credentials to hang around your neck would complete the look.
