Suggestions for trio saxophone piano violin
on: March 22, 2015, 11:19:34 AM
Hello,

Since January we've started a collaboration at our music academy with a trio piano - violin - saxophone. At the last concert, we've played the Invierno Porteno from the 4 seasons of Astor Piazzolla, and two parts from the five pieces for piano and 2 violins by Shostakovich, all works converted to make it work with the saxophone.

Do you have any other suggestions for pieces that could work with this formation? (not a problem if not originally written for saxophone).

Thanks

Ps: We know about 'Couleurs d'un Rėve', by Defountaine, but I would like to hear other works.

You could have a look at this. Wonderful work and would be pretty easy to pull from the piano reduction to accommodate the violin
