Oh dear yes, a lot of weird names there ! It seems to be a very intersting book but I'd never trust anything from a book that is so badly spelled.

Hm, yes!

One would invest much time to investigate about the true relevancies. Not only because of the names, since, as we know, people sometimes like to make funny names of pianists and composers, like, e.g.:

Clara Lang 

Arturo Gouldovich Skriapin

Benno Backhaus

Vladimefan Askenasowitz Say

 

But if too many typos occur, it, as said, perhaps goes on one's nerves.

If fact-errors are added, too, then things may become worse 

And even more time will have to be invested to find out the truth!

Wow… That's really messed up…  How can one take it seriously… Where's the editor?
I did enjoy, some years back, his (Dubal's) book - "Reflections from the Keyboard"  ..  a collection of interviews he did with a few dozen (notable) concert pianists …It gives roughly 5 to 10 pages to each pianist…He is mostly asking questions… And perhaps a good reference book for those that may want to pursue further info on those interviewed, (many of whom have written their own books)...

Thank you for your answer! To the author I can only say that he's a Juilliard-man... .
So, there must have something gone wrong, in the editing-processing, which would be an explanation for the funny typos... . But for the mentioned factual errors which may have occured, there must be other reasons. Perhaps: Other people involved, or perhaps older sources not being too actual, on which Dubal referred, which is, in writing such a thick compendium, not impossible, in my opinion. And there are some pianists still alive, we shouldn't forget. What, if e.g. Harasiewicz decides to record FURTHER Chopin works now?

Books should be, I think, always actual, and their sources too. But even books, in the moment of print / publishing, may have become un-actual already.

The thicker the book, the !
