Après une audition du MS: Fantasia quasi Prelude
on: April 10, 2015, 10:05:56 PM
A bit of fun, hopefully it can be taken as such ;)

with likely no.16 at quarter speed.

And thus, with sundry variations of tempo, dynamics, and added notes..

Honestly - no surprise here - I liked it, and for it bringing into emphasis the undercurrent of delirium in that Prelude.

I think we might have to make you Captain of the ship as the one who will lead our course into the unknown waters if you keep this up.

It was quite entertaining doing this and boarding the boat ;) (not sure about the time spent practicing the rh in octaves though!).

I wouldn't get up and play it in this form in public, however. I've always enjoyed tinkering with other people's music and improvising on it, which is one reason I play paraphrases.

You could play my romantic music in public and tinker with/improvise upon it.  I'm not sure any of the music from 2013 and before is worthy.  The music from 2015 and forward, which is not yet online, is . . .  ;)

The composer says it is OKAY!!!!!  ;D

He says YES you can!!!!!!!!!!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's a positive attitude! I don't think I've ever played my own music the same way twice ;)

Same here.

The real music can not be notated with this rigid and arithmetic notational system of time signatures, bar lines and note/rest durations.

It is impossible.
