Beethoven Sonata 1 movement 1
on: April 12, 2015, 03:52:44 PM

Hello guys; I'm an aspiring pianist from India, 15 years old and would like to major in piano performance from one of US's top music colleges that offers dual degrees with engineering such as Bienen, Peabody, UMich, Eastman, etc.

Could you please give feedback and constructive criticism on my performance of Beethoven's sonata 1 first movement and also assess my chances at entering one of these schools? I audition in an year and a half.

Thanks.

Is the tempo correct? Or is it too slow?

What about the cadences?  Did you hear the cadences or did you rush through them trying to stick to the written note values?

What is the music about?  Did you express it so that the meaning is obvious to the casual listener?
