Pedal Help
on: May 12, 2015, 07:55:40 AM
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum  :D

I love to play piano but unfortunately, I no longer have a teacher. ( i only learned the really basic stuff with a teacher) .  :'(

Many songs requires me to use the pedal, however, I always have no idea when to step on it and when to release. I always try to search online to look at the pedaling signs/marks on the piano sheets, but sometimes, they are different! Am I suppose to improvise using my own imagination? Do you guys have any tips?  ::)

Read this.. Practice it. Get it perfect. Then (an only then) rebel against everything in it.

... And you have here, in Pianostreet, in the book section, one or two books about piano pedalling. Have a look.
Best wishes
