Short exciting piece for DipABRSM
on: May 12, 2015, 08:33:13 PM
Hey
So I recently started practicing for my ABRSM Diploma and I have been playing for about 4 and a half years. My chosen pieces from the syllabus are Brahms' G minor Rhapsody, Beethoven's E minor sonata op 90, and the Ravel Sonatine.
I have a about 2 minutes spare of the required time so i thought i'd make that my own chosen piece, so i wanted a short modern piece to contrast those other bits of relatively standard rep
. I thought of khrennikov's march but i'd really like a few suggestions that i could chose from.
Poulenc's toccata was another idea but i thought it was far too similar to the sonatine. ANY suggestions welcome!
