Pain in the middle phalanx of the 4th finger
on: June 02, 2015, 09:06:34 PM
Hello. I am 19 years old  and I have recently experienced a pain just below the DIP joint during piano practice, and after that I stopped to play and realized that I have a little ''scar'' slightly under the DIP joint. I don't know what is it and I would like to know if anyone has experienced that and can tell me what is it and how can I treat it..(I have seen a physical therapist who did not know what is the problem) Thanks

Diagnosis over the internet is a fool's game, my friend.  What you need to do is to find a good orthopaedic surgeon -- preferably one specializing in the hand -- and have him or her give it a good looking over.
