Advanced alien hologram/augmented reality technology???
on: July 01, 2015, 03:32:34 AM
Alright SO...
This is how it is...
I've been working on the rach 2 for some time now and there's
ONE
spot I can't get anywhere near up to speed... Everything else is fine and dandy EXCEPT for that
ONE
spot...
You've heard me ask this question before. Well I'm asking it again because nothing is working.
This spot... The spot that's been giving me trouble... Is the infamous
rehearsal number 33
in the third movement and one measure before that! I've done
EVERYTHING
I could think of and
NOTHING
seems to work! The best I can do is around 100-105 BPM with about a 50% chance of making it sound good.
SO...
I am
CONVINCED
that nobody in the world can play that this fast. NOT even Kissin, Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, or whoever else can play this! I am 100%
CONVINCED
that what you see and hear on stage is due to some advanced alien hologram/augmented reality technology.
You see, they tricked all of you. Nobody can play that fast! So they deceive you by projecting a hologram for a brief moment of the pianist playing that passage and difficult passages like that except sped up and synced with sped up sound.
So ANYWAYS...
If you guys can't help me play this up to speed or near up to speed, then that means that my advanced alien technology theory is correct and I deserve a Nobel peace prize.

Try dividing up each measure into quarters then practising each quater-note beat at speed, landing on the next beat. Then join the two beats together, practising each half measure as one unit. Rinse and repeat for each measure. Also alternate this with the usual slow practice.
