MusicAlp Festival in France - I'm screwed
on: July 03, 2015, 05:37:48 AM
Is anyone going to the MusicAlp festival in Tignes this coming 20th July?

I decided to apply to push myself and as kind of a gap year activity to meet other musicians and be inspired... but I just think my pieces aren't ready (still in progress) for any private lessons (and we're talking about Pascal Rogé here!).

Has any of you been to this kind of festival?

Is it supposed to be this stressful...? I mean my pieces are memorized but definitely not concert standard...I wanted to join this festival to have fun but I'm afraid I'm just kidding myself bringing pieces that are not ready. Now I'm screwed...I think I have to practice 10 hours a day from now.

Currently working on:

Bach - P&F in C# Major, BWV 872, Book II
Haydn - Sonata No.60 in C Major, Hob. XVI 50
Mendelssohn - Variations Serieuses
Debussy - Reflets dans l'eau
Ravel - Jeux d'eau
