Which Mozart Sonata?
on: July 05, 2015, 02:32:55 AM
Hi, I'm playing a Mozart (or Haydn or Beethoven) sonata, complete or just 1st movement, for a competition. I just don't know which ones to play!

Be surprising. Try a sonata by Iosif Genishta or Dmytro Bortniansky.

I heart Russian composers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Too bad most of the competitions I'm going to require:

"A classical sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven". They don't even allow Clementi :'(!
I wonder if they allow any of the Beethoven Sonatas higher than Op. 90? Good thing I can't play them yet ;D ;D ;D

Wow. Beethoven is really overrated. But so are Schumann, Brahms, and Wagner ;D

If you can't play any movement above Op.90, you can't play a lot of things.

I can play the notes, though, but I just don't have the maturity that other average people have ;D

O, I just realized they're all German. How insulting I can be without realizing it...
