Kawai Digital
on: December 17, 2004, 03:30:56 AM
Hey guys. I was looking to buy a digital piano, and after visiting all the local dealers, I'm thinking of going with a Kawai CN390. My question is how much should I pay for this? The dealer quoted me $2100 when I was in the store. Is that a good price?

Thanks a lot

Hi Ndiin,

i got a kawai cn390 which i realy like. it cost me approx. euro 1.000 in munich, germany. on ebay-germany there is a listing for a similar instrument for euro 700.

your dealer seems to have lost contact to reality  :P

Thanks for the response Claudio. Guess I have some negotiating ahead of me. It would be a lot easier if any of the other piano dealerships in the area sold Kawais, but from what I can gather this is the only one. Oh well, thanks again, I'll let you know how it goes.

Well I ended up getting it for $1750. Still a far cry from the deal you got, but that seems to be about the lowest any dealers around here will take. Anyway, it's actually a Christmas present, so I don't get to play it for another week. This is agony! AGONY!

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31.
