The title of this tune was provisional..  (It was conceived as an homage to Debussy )..  I would now like to change the title to "Mirage"… (yet it is too late to modify the subject's heading on this post).  As a composer, most of the stuff I write has been for ensemble… mostly because I like playing with others… It is only recently that I have started writing pieces for solo piano… The first one i posted some while ago was an homage to Chopin, "Farewell".  … This one is the next in that 'series'…

(drat, the disappearing 'modify' button..  )  Actually, the composition came from an impression of a dream at the beach, and I wanted to create the music for that scene… It then morphed  into what appears to be an homage to Debussy… yet there is a blending of my own compositional tendencies as well…  (sorry for the multiple comments…. this last one should have been the first…  yet, I missed the time window for editing…  :'()

I am always very interested in a  pianist's response to my piano pieces.. (and also from those who compose, as well).
Thank you for listening.   :)

I love hearing the original compositions.  They are always played so freely and with such confidence,  very nice... oooh some surprises there at the end... cool.. a little DeBussey-esque or impressionistic... and very new age.

very cool  :)

Great job ! And I agree, Mirage fits better than the beach theme.
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

Some really nice moments in this piece. Thanks for telling me theme :)

it sounds modern in a way I mostly like. I can hear a good variety of influences but it also sounds unique. I think it really reflects you theme, as far as I can tell.

I like the opening and the ending quite a bit, the most important parts to be sure.

I am a very beginner composer and I couldn't write at all like this yet, but maybe you could take a look once I've finished something and tell me your thoughts. You could also make me extra happy and look at my Chopin I posted in the Audition Room too ;)
