Do you like the Ligeti Etudes?
on: July 11, 2015, 02:07:58 AM
I like listening to them, but it sort of seems like a bunch of random notes on the page! They're really hard and all that, and I'm sure they're good for developing technique. But do you seriously LIKE listening to them? And are they even accepted at most colleges and such as acceptable etudes? I get tired after 2 or 3 of them.

I assume your one of those people who only likes classical, romantic, tonal music if you want to listen to more modern contemporary music you usually have to adjust to it. Try Prokofiev then slowly adjust to the new musical style.
I think the Ligeti etudes are great works my Favorite is the 10th with its rhythm .
