I need to learn a prelude and fugue from Bach's Well Tempered Clavier book 1 for an audition any help it has to be beautiful it doesn't have to be virtuosic and please sight readable.
The piano a string instrument controlled by means of percussion.

and please sight readable.

If you were able to find any of them sight readable, surely you wouldn't be asking.

I find enough of them sight readable and the reason I am asking is because I am not good with Bach I don't hear enough of his music but a straight-forward answer would be nice.

Then you are perfectly well equipped to find one from those that you like. I don't see what else we can contribute - they're all good and all fine for audition purposes.

Nice of it though it is that you want to play my favourite, that particular one changes regularly. You would in any case, be better off playing your favourite - particularly for an audition. We do, after all, tend to play better those pieces that speak to us and you do want to look your best.

I am not a fan of Bach so I do not a have a favorite this is why I am asking but since you don't want to give answer I think I will ask someone else.

All of them are ugly ;D I think though, the c minor and f minor are prettier than most fugues. They are also the most attempted/played by children. ;D

For what it's worth, my current favorite is Eb major from Book I.

I played no.6 in D minor at an audition earlier this year. The fugue is probably one of the easiest (only 3 voices), but the prelude can be tricky. I still found this prelude easier than the one in C minor.

As sigh readable you mean whitout many flat or sharps? I would recomend C sharp major or B flat minor, but if it is the case maybe the B flat major.
