Beethoven's Sonata Op. 81a
on: July 14, 2015, 04:55:59 PM
Hi,
In the first movement, in measures 21-28, my left hand is very blurry. Then, I tried without pedal, and the right hand very staccato. Then, the right hand sounded too abrupt. Pleas, does anyone know the solution?
I've watched Yeol Eum Son and Helene Tysman, and I've found solutions to other parts. But in this part, I can't really tell how they get it sow clear.
Any suggestions?
P.S. I also have the same problem w/ the left hand of Chopin's Prelude #24. When I was playing Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, I also had that problem, but now I don't. I don't know how it changed. Maybe a lighter touch? I don't think so.
Thanks!

somewhere in between. seriously, it depends on your instrument and the room acoustics but a flutter or partial pedal w/ ear guided clearing or brushing of the dampers should yield the desired result in most circumstances you describe.
