Piano Special Effects
on: July 19, 2015, 02:44:54 AM
Hi everyone,
Do you guys know any (modern) pieces with "special effects"? I know some pieces have "scratching" iniside the piano. I'm not looking for pieces like John Cage's Prepared Piano, but rather something that doesn't require preparation on the piano in advance (no piano "inserts).
Have any ideas?
Pathetique - Beethoven
Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 - Liszt
Toccata - Bowen
Warrior/Memories in an Ancient Garden - Louie

Try fazil says black earth, the beginning requires you to have the sustaining pedal down along with one hand on the piano strings giving a rather cool effect!
Pieces I'm polishing at the mo:
Debussy reflections on the water (images)
Chopin ballade no.3 op.47
Liszt/Wagner Isolde liebestod
