You're quite a character.  You  know, you have the ability to  really play this etude well.  You've got a very fluid finger technique.  But you don't seem to be listening to the musical structure.  Those blunders you made are entirely unforgiveable for someone with your pianistic prowress.
I'd be curious to hear something at the other end of the emotional pole.  Like a nocturne, or something.  Maybe played be princess Leila?

Thank you for your comment!

First, thank you very much.

You have valid points. In my excuse for the blunders..you can barely see with the helmet. So, when you have that in mind i think i must be forgiven ;).

That recording was like warm up before i played the Imperial March. I haven`t played the etude for a while..anayway i agree it`s not perfect and i don`t say it is.

As a piano educator i see nothing wrong with trying different things to generate curiousity in the young people. Dressed up like Vader and playing on the piano is very interesting for them..atleast that is what i saw :) For me piano playing is cool and i want the kids to see it also..

You can check some emotional pole in my Youtube channel if you like.

Regards

I like the sense of line in your arpeggios! Also, I had never seen Vader playing before... It's great! :) Wearing costumes at a concert definitely adds to the fun. Children and teenagers are so used to eccentricity nowadays, and classical concerts are usually not aimed at a young audience, so I think it's important to try to reach them.

I was wondering... what camera brand/model did you use for your recording?
I cannot make any decent recordings because my built-in microphone makes a "cracking noise" whenever I play on a grand piano (I guess it's too loud)... any suggestions would be welcome!

Hey i remember watching your Moszkowski video op 72,6 and thinking "damn this guy has really good technique." And I can see it again here!  Great job with the 10 no1 i'm sure without the helmet you could play it way better too.  If you don't mind telling me, whats your piano background?

Thank you very much!! :) At the moment i am using my smartphone for the recordings :D Samsung Note 3. I will probably buy a proper camera soon because i don`t like the sound atm as well :)

Thanks! :) I have played the piano my whole life. Started when i was 4. I finished musical school and music academy with Master degree in Sofia, Bulgaria. After that i worked for four years on cruise ships as main pianist. That`s about it :D

nice boots
Haha thanks :) Actually they are not boots..they are vintage "adidas garnett 2" basketball shoes :))

Thanks for your prompt reply, and I agree with Ianzilla... great technique! Do you have any technical practice routines? At my school, it used to be scales+arpeggios and octaves at various speeds, in a different key every week... with my last teacher it was the "russian pattern" (C-Am-F- Dm... etc. all after one another, which is more interesting harmonically, but way longer to go through )... but I know that routines may vary from one place to another, so I'm trying to broaden my knowledge  :)

Sorry for the delay :) I don`t like to play scales at all. I used to do it 1st and 2nd grade at school only. The way my teacher tought me was: "When you want to work on some part of your technique..pick 5 pieces that include that same technique and grind your way through them.." this is what i did :)
