VIDEO: Messiaen: "Première communion de la Vierge"

My performance of a piece from Messiaen's "Vingt regards sur l'enfant-Jésus" from 2009. I hope you will enjoy it!

Finally a bit of Messiaen!  Very fine playing, indeed.
I would play the god theme slightly softer with the same intensity you give it.  and the 64th and 128th notes lighter and in time.  You rush them a bit.   I hear holy rain drops from heaven, if you get what I mean.  The bird call part is actually a bit slower.  Play those 64th notes softer and clearer.  Almost non legato.  The real Forte doesn't actually come until the Modéré part. And here, too, it's a bit too fast.  Rhythmic more than anything.  The runs you do wonderfully.  But it says "rubato".  Play with them more.  Give them shape.  I feel the Modéré section should be strictly, metronomically in time until the Très lent.  Only "Les petites notes" should be fuori tempo.
Again, in the très lent, the 64th notes pianissimo but more articulated.
I love the indication "tendre" for the 8th notes.  This is truly inspired music, and you don't have to be catholic to feel it!
Beautiful ending.  Bravo.

Thank you very much for the suggestions! I actually haven't played this piece since 2009, but I am considering adding it back into my "active repertoire". Your comments will definitely be valuable information for the re-reading.
