First piano concerto to learn
on: August 02, 2015, 03:36:54 PM
Hello everyone!

I am 17 and I love classical music. Last week I listen Beethoven 5th piano concerto and  now I love it! I'd like to learn it: I print the sheet and now I am reading it. My question is: is it too difficult for me?  ::) I am working on Chopin Impromptu 1, valse 64/2-3, study 10/12 and 25/9 then Bach 3rd english suite and some sinfonias, Rachmaninoff prelude 3/2, Beethoven sonata 25.

I really love if I can play with an orchestra  ;D  ;D  ;D

I had also tired to working on Tchaikowsky first piano concerto but I understood it was too difficult for me  :-\

I am sorry for my bad english!

Bye

Just so you know Zimerman and Bernstein made a terrific video recording of a performance of No 5. Look it up for some background if you like.
Care to see my playing?

My first piano concerto was Mozart E Flat Major K 271. It's one of my favourites to this day! I would check it out. Lots of great technique to be had from it.

Also I would consider Haydn D Major Concerto (No. 11). Good luck!
Repertoire:

Beethoven Sonata Op. 10 No. 3
Chopin Etudes Op. 10 No.7, Op. 25 No. 2
Mendelssohn Rondo Capriccioso
