Just a Simple Waltz (Schubert)
on: August 13, 2015, 02:55:04 PM
Hi Everyone, I haven't shown you my Schubert yet, it's just a little waltz but you may be able to enjoy how I've decided to play the piece a bit creatively.

I hope you like it!

Thanks a lot chopinlover. I was worried it was a bit too trivial...

Good job, Josh!

Thanks AJ! I'll also check your ballade in a bit (love that piece!) I just have to try and do some recording now :)

Very nicely done. My only criticism is that you suddenly get a bit aggressive in the middle part. It's good to be a bit more lively there but IMO you overdid that. It's a personal observation though. I like your eclectic collection of prints and paintings :)

This is a really nice piece and you played it well! I think I would just lighten up the forte section a little so it stays nice and playful. You definitely performed it with character! :)

Josh - a wonderful job - and very expressive!
(i hate to be an echo chamber but i too felt the forte could have been a bit less).
Thanks for posting  ;D

thanks guys. I'll be honest, I wouldn't change the louder repeat, I guess it's just my style, also keep in mind I come from a grungy musical aesthetic so I really like a bit of violence and aggression, even when it's inappropriate haha.
