Hi Everyone,

I want to start a forum on my new website for musicians.  I was wondering what sort of topics would you guys be interested in?  I actually like the idea of a piano forum, but I need different and interesting topics.

These are the things I would want on my forum:

Composers section (for people who compose music or want to compose, talk about their compositions, etc)

Other composers section, for example, talk about Chopin only, Beethoven only, Brahms only.

Piano section (I am a piano player and composer, so I need one on my site too)

A few other ideas I have are:

Analysis of specific compositions that I will post, or you can post.....and have people comment on the anaysis...(thats how I may start it off)  I would like to have a full analysis of the Rach's concertos....but I will start it off by doing a full analysis of Chopin's Ballade in G minor to give you an idea!

Analysis of specific composers techniques (what was going on in Rach's mind when he composed his concertos, etc)

Analysis of YOUR music (post your music on my site, in future, and have it analyzed, critiqued, etc)

and so on.

If I was to make a comprehensive forum like this, would you guys be interested in signing up?  The forum I used to have failed miserably, only 9 people who registered, and no one participated.  That was my fault though because I did not write any threads, issues, etc to help spark it up.

So, please, tell me what topics you guys would like included on my forum if you think you would be an interested registrant.  One thing about me is that I am a musician myself, so I think I can build a very creative, fun and informative forum if I do it right!  I would need you guys to help spark it though.

Well, this forum sounds like it is mainly about compositions.  I dont know if other composers would want to show their works before they have patents or publishing done.  (Props to you for taking the risk)  I think the market for the forum is going to be small..

Great idea though!  If you created it, I would sure check it out from time to time to see whats going on.

Maybe a little bit off the topic?

What's about a forum where you annouce interesting Internet
Radio broadcasts of valuable classical work
(including URL, time, composer ...) - maybe including some discussion
afterwards on the performance?
