Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat major, Op. 110 (3rd Mov. )

Listen to the third movement, the first part (3 min, 20 sec or so) and tell me how you feel. It seems like Beethoven's ... Hardship .. Destitution.. And in the last measure of two - utter exhaustion that one can't even think. How would you express/play this piece ( if you would've played it) &/or what feelings did Beethoven have while composing this?
