Favorite Brahms Paganini Variations

Hi all,
I know that book 1 is harder (?), but in my opinion book 2 is more interesting. HBU?

i prefer the Ivan Jirko variations (1926-1978) Which takes the Brahms walts variation from book ii and reharmonizes and quotes it in various original  ways.  Really really cool set of Brahs pag. var's, so far my favorite of the lot/set
