Has anyone run into tablet/phone recording from the audience?

Lots of people holding up their phones or tablets to record the performance? 

Possibly even watching the tablet screen rather than the actual performance itself?

Yes.  Not many, but I have seen it happen.

I have also seen an usher escort the individual to the nearest exit.
