Imitating Famous Pianists
on: September 12, 2015, 08:04:37 PM
This is kind of like the one I did a few days ago imitating other members, this one is famous pianists! (by request of dcstudio :P) The name of the pianist is listed next to the file. If you have any other pianists you want me to do I will be happy to make one for them. Enjoy :)

Funny stuff. I thought the Gould imitation was spot on. I don't listen to Lang Lang enough to hear how accurately you imitate his style but still it was quite amusing. As to Argerich, I'd say you captured something of her tempestuousness and with regard to Pollini, I'm afraid that the only recordings I have of him don't feature his singing, so I'll have to take your word for that little bit "extra."

Anyway, top marks for some inspired clowning, which requires both perception and good fingers.

Yeah, I don't know why the humming didn't come out as strongly on Gould's as it did on pollini's :D Just turn up the volume.

Lol thanks ;) And I chose etude 10/3 because on the recording I have, he is humming terribly! And out of tune!!

OMG You are a really good imitator. Spot on for Lang Lang ;D

I had a teacher at a festival, and she was a VERY QUICK AND ACCURATE IMITATOR. Most teachers exaggerate when they want to point out something you're doing weirdly, but she did not need to.

So who was that who said I don't suggest anything cool around here?  ;D

Noah... that was freakin brilliant!!  the humming on the Gould was priceless... I laughed so hard I cried.. OMG

and the Lang Lang...again...it was spot on.   "Arghh"erich  and the Pollini, too...the humming.. again I totally lost it.

you can make a living off this.. you sure can--maybe not this exact way...but you are a smart guy and I bet you could figure out how to turn this special skill of yours into a paycheck..  ;)

just give it time... you will think of something.

The one problem that I see is...the Lang Lang one seems incomplete without video  ;D
Currently working on: Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody 2 (all advice welcome!), Chopin's Revolutionary Etude, Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu

his accent in that movie is really annoying.  I live in south mississippi... he's not even in the ballpark...lol.   yeah that movie just goes on and on doesn't it... than he feeds her that pudding and it's all over and it's like...  ???   which is the message of the movie...lol.  all those cars... Jessica Tandy, the deep South...and getting old.. pointless.

I mean who doesn't love Morgan Freeman... but I am with ya on that one.
