Which recording of the Franck shall I get?
on: December 21, 2004, 01:16:59 AM
Can someone recommend me to a good recording of Franck's Symphony and Variations?
I have Alfred Cortot's, and I want a clearer (or maybe newer) recording.

Hmm, I dunno, but Cziffra's is excellent. I have a video of him playing it while his son conducts the Hungarian State Orchestra...very touching performance.

oh, come on.
Cziffra is most likely a great recommendation but there have to be more suggestions.....no one here listens to the Franck?
....it's music at it's best.
