My new Yamaha B3

I took the plunge and bought a real piano last night. The floor model sounded and played great in the store, so I'm hopeful this one will too. Pretty much anything will be an improvement over my current Casio WK 6500! I paid $5699 plus tax and delivery--seemed like a decent deal. Does anyone else own this model?

I'll report back once it's delivered (on 9/24) and tuned (about a week later).

The store did not have any new ones, so I ended up with the floor model, which is fine since it has been tuned and adjusted, and I already knew that it sounded great...and it does in my house, too! It's a massive step up from my Casio CK 6500! Yamaha offers a 100% trade in value for 10 years as long as the new one costs twice as much, so in 5 years or so, I might get a U3, but until then, I'm thrilled with this instrument.

The middle pedal can be locked in place to act as a mute. It's not silent, but it cuts the volume (and tone...) by half at least.

I'm aware of the truly silent option--the middle pedal knocks the sound down to quite a low level, though. Yes, it's audible, but it probably wouldn't awaken anyone in another room.
