Watts POV
on: September 25, 2015, 04:41:05 PM
this is cool. fyi, see the piano as the legend does. (btw mad props to the recent post in the easy Liszt pieces of Watts, he's one of my fav pianists ever top 6, poster probably did not intentionally post watts but glad he did, reminded me of this so thought i'd share). would be cool to have a montage of lots of pianists doing this and them play the same piece to see how their perspective changes

Thanks I enjoyed watching this. Funnily enough I identified with a couple of things that I have been reading about with regards to 2 hand jumps and so was quite happy with what I saw. Nice idea.

Love Watts. Always love the attitudinal he brings to his performances. Not always the best interpretations (far from it sometimes) but what a flair for showmanship and music passion. He is like me, when you're into it, your dripping sweat after playing pieces you love.
Like that one time he told the audience to shush when he was finishing etude 25 1 and the audience was clapping before the trill. he was like...shadddap ..shushh .
