La Campanella
on: October 02, 2015, 11:49:32 AM
Just starting Liszts La Campanella and thought I had a handle on it when I listened to a recording again and realised I was missing out all those high echoey notes. How did they get there? I haven't seen anything on the music to suggest it but all recordings have it.

Are you sure you have the normal sheet music? Should look somewhat like this:
You can find it f.e. on imslp.

wow--what would La Campanella look like without the "high echoing notes"---I would like to see your edition... that would be interesting.

You might be playing the Busoni version. It has octaves at the beginning instead of leaps.
