You're in quite an interesting position; you're a pop lover and yet you can't even formulate a somewhat coherent argument as to why our tastes of classical music are so "trash".Form a coherent argument and I'll respond. Deal?
Theres not a single comment or song I posted that suggests I love pop
You posted 'This beats any sonata, hands down'
It's just kind of predictable when your name is swagmaster420 hahaha
You've posted numerous things, that song being one of them. Also, Two Chainz is technically pop-rap, so yes, you do like pop You still have yet to form a coherent argument..
Burn the heretic! Burn the heretic!
Theyre trash because no one responds in the affirmative when I post link to Travvy music vidU cant dance to classical music, it takes too much effort to appreciate
Hey dc! How have you been?
and for the record.. there are many classical pieces you can dance too... Minuets, waltzes, tarantellas, tangos... just to name a few.
Yes, I really, honestly, truly do think that every single individual on this forum likes music that is inferior to the likes of Miley Cyrus and One Direction, and that classical music as a whole is definitively below popular music in quality / musical worth. Also, Fur Elise is the greatest thing that ever came out of Beethoven's half-baked compositional mind.Thats no reason to persecute me
I was born that way.I woke up at 3 AM with Collins-Van Zant Free Bird running through my head and twitching my fingers, so I spent 90 minutes relearning the first 8 bars on organ with tibia & glockenspeil stops, then transposing to a key I can sing. Then playing and singing it. ~300 bars to go, plus finding a guitar player who pitch bends or installing that feature on my organ. (theremin on the music rack?) I also did a quick runthrough of R, Dwight's Blue Canoe to check how it sounded with Hammond glock instead of piano I learned it on. My major effort this year has been through summer practice on Pictures at an Exhibition on piano. All of it. Great Gate of Kiev I can finally stop hesitating now that I bought reading glasses: and wrote some chord names out on the score. Three Scott Joplin rags and two JS Bach 2 part inventions are in my "play every day" inventory. I got some serving ladies dancing on Maple Leaf Rag last Saturday at the charity dinner I wash dishes at. JS Bach Passacaglia & Fugue C min is on hold for the completion of Pictures plus I have to make some organ shoes: since every **** pair on the internet is made by serfs in *****. I'm adding some imitation Count Basie to my repretoire, Count on Him by Claude Bolling is beginning to gel. Original Boogie Woogie by Pinetop is progressing, stopped a bit by my mislaying the original at home when I changed pianos; the copy is out in the country trailer where I practiced it this summer. (Broke a hammer on the Steinway this summer, fixed a broken string on the Sohmer tuned it and moved practice into the spare room. On to rainy day projects like action repair in October) I have to admit I am underwhelmed by most Chopin and Rachmanoff pieces, the two passions on this board. The two or three top C & R pieces are overplayed on the FM radio, so I don't feel the need to duplicate them myself. Raindrop & Prelude Cmin? I did the light version of the Rach Prelude as a third or fourth year student; I don't feel the compulsion to play the real version.
Jesus Christ
long tirade
I highly doubt you're gonna get up in the middle of a performance and start breakin it down to any of these
Im pretty sure it worked on youFunny thing was, that wasn't supposed to be a troll post. Sarcasm != trolling
Touche I was entertained... but not angry.. you will know it when I get angry...lol. Sarcasm -- ok that makes sense... because that was a very poorly constructed troll ...hee hee. you seemed smarter than that.my "trolling" instructions... I am actually hoping another member reads that..ok... I am raising your grade to a B+ lol.
Thanks, I appreciate that grade more although its purpose remains unclear.By the way, I've never uploaded any of the audition room recordings you're assuming I have.
you mentioned people reacting negatively to a piece of music you posted I assumed it was something you performed... I stand corrected. This is a piano site..I thought you played the piano. OH -- it was the rap song on the favorite sonatas wasn't it---and you were trying to be funny? why do you like to stir up stuff? I am asking this calmly and seriously...and without judgment...can you tell me why you enjoy it?
Don't you have anything better to do than posting crap on a piano forum?
You have posted more in the last 24 hours than I have since I joined the site.
A burning desire to be reacted to
that usually means at some point in your life there was someone close to you who was very emotionally distant... or you had an ignoring type of mother.or ... you could just be bored. lol.
Remember, it's better to have quality over quantity.
"reaction farming?"
"Trash lies in the eyes of the beholder"
yeah... think of all the psychoanalysis you could do...or maybe that means you're a troll. is that not the definition of "troll?" "reaction farming?"you're school-age... so you know "obvious troll is obvious." and we probably shouldn't feed the trolls
