Alberto Neuman

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this information, but so be it...
One of the joys of YouTube is the opportunity it gives to discover pianists previously unknown to us, no matter how famous they may be to others. Such a discovery for me is the pianist Alberto Neuman, a former student of Michelangeli. The two links here are for a documentary about his experiences with his famous teacher (unfortunately in French, a language in which I'm not fully fluent) and to a performance of Nazareth's Odeon (much shorter).
Both highlight an unusual style of play (physical and musical) but one which I find very moving nonetheless. Plus he does a few things in the opening Chopin etude that I've never seen before. I thought he'd be an interesting "revelation" for the assembled members of the piano forum and I am curious to learn what sort of a response these samples elicit.

top marks! and new tome, thanks for sharing. i love what he does with both. one of the marks of the definition of virtuosity i subscribe to is
'flawless execution of fundamentals coupled with uncommon creativity', he certainly fits the bill and I enjoyed this.
The Odeon is spot on, lots of pianists gravitate to this (shame it seems it one of the only Nazareth works that gets a lot of stage time), but this version is spot on. really, not a lot that can be said in terms of 'improving' on this any.
