Yet another post about pain in wrists
on: October 14, 2015, 05:06:08 AM
Hi everyone, I'll bet you are all sick to death of seeing posts about wrist pain whilst playing.

Mine came on yesterday, I've been playing the piano since February and I've never had pain before, I'm pretty sure my posture is fine whilst I am sitting at the piano as I have a teacher who always corrects me if I'm sitting wrong and we have Skype lessons so she see's how I sit when I'm at home as well so I don't think that is an issue.

Just lately I've been getting a pain behind my left shoulder as well, I think it is to do with my chair at work, I've asked them to take a look at that for me already.

I was just wondering if there are any sort of warm up movements or excersises I could do before playing or even throughout the day which might help me out, I don't mean like practising scales to get me warmed up I  mean practices which are directly related to the wrist?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers in advance.
