I passed my exams
on: October 14, 2015, 11:55:18 AM
Hello to all,

First of all, let me introduce myself.
I started playing piano just for fun at 21 yrs old, and then I saw that I really liked it and continued with my piano studies until I succesfully finished the piano program in a private conservatory near my home and received the piano diploma.
As I wanted to continue, so as to see until where I can arrive in terms of playing and acquiring musicianship and technique, I applied for a master degree at a Conservatory in Italy, and managed to pass the entry examination!
The program I was auditioned for was : op 90 from Beethoven, g minor p&f from Bach, and Invocation by Liszt.
So, now that I was accepted, I really cannot imagine what I'll be studying there. Do any of you have any ideas of programs, difficulties, courses, etc?
I'm 27 now, and just hope I made tha right decisions. I stopped working so to concentrate more on piano, was playing about 6-8hours a day this past year, and also managed to buy a nice pleyel upright with money I had on the side!

Well, thanks in advance to everyone who will answer my questions, and have a good day!

Regards

Hi,

Maybe it helps if I also say that english isn't my primary language, so maybe my thought aren't very clearly exposed in the previous text.
I was thinking of asking you guys if any of you had any contact sometime in his life with higher Conservatories, at the level of studies is, what you eventually do there, etc... like more in details!
I told this little story about myself so as to let you know what my background was until here. Basically I am really happy just to have succeeded until here.
Then again, maybe it would help to change my age and say that I started at 1yr old and got accepted in a Conservatoire at age 5? :)
Thank you for any and all the replies.
