my friend has a yamaha G3 with the serial number E 1504372 can anyone tell me where it's from and how old it is?

I believe it was manufactured in Japan in the 60's and wasn't considered for the U.S. market.
Which means it's not built for the drier U.S. environment and this may affect the sounding board over time. IMHO...
