Bach - Little Prelude in F Major bwv927
on: January 11, 2016, 05:38:45 PM
Hi lads,

I am slowly starting practicing again after a busy holiday season.

This prelude is a work in progress. Still not fully convinced of the sound I am creating:

any tips to share?

is she telling you to lighten up your LH?  shape the phrases with a bit more dynamic range? it is much improved over the first recording, no doubt.  I like your playing and I am not just saying that for your beautiful comments on the other thread... although that was great. :)

it just does not sound like you enjoy playing this one.  Not to say you don't enjoy this piece...

Hey thanks for your comment. Well, to be honest I am quite frustrated with this piece.

Here is one version I really like

It's really energetic and lively but still very beautiful. I don't know how I should achieve this kind of playing as even my teacher can't even put her finger on what I am doing wrong :s

then I think maybe you should leave this one alone for a while.   Just take a little break.   You will forget some of the frustration and you may find that you have a lot more control if you just give it a week or two.

that is a nice version.   :)
