My family thinks this piece is awful... which means that I might be onto something...

The goal of this composition was to have a polyphonic contrapuntal conversation with myself through music. You guys have a musicians ear and I'd love to know your thoughts!

I don't own an acoustic piano but I do have a Korg SV-1 keyboard :)

Cheers

I like it! (Why doesn't your family feel the same?)

Seriously, professional and imaginative. The microtonal sounds give it "something extra" and the instrumental interactions and rhythmic subtleties maintain interest. I'm assuming it's layered, in other words, you played all the parts and then put them together? Some part of me was remembering Stevie Wonder's clavinet solo in Very Superstitious (I think that's the title-----it's been a long time since I've heard it). I'm not saying he was an influence for you, just that what you've come up with has the same infectious energy. Congratulations, you have talent!
