Favourite Classical Musicians (Not Pianists)
on: February 28, 2016, 12:52:23 PM
Who are yours? Please list the performer and the instrument

I've heard good things about Jascha Heifetz and Itzhak Perlman for violin.

For cello I've heard good stuff about Jacqueline Du Pre and Mstislav Rostropovich.

When it comes to singers I'm not so knowledgeable and I'd love reccomendations for listening.

When it comes to violin I love Francescatti and Heifetz.
In the flute section - Pahud and Davies.
Cello - I really like Fournier.
Conducting (if that counts) - Bernstein and Abbado (both very original picks, I know).
