serial number help
on: February 29, 2016, 08:23:44 PM
Is this the serial number on our Steinway Grand?
I don't think the piano is as old as the number would indicate.

Thanks,
Bill

did you find out what the serial number you have, C 2601, if it is valid, indicates as its year of manufacture ?  an extensive restoration could make a plain ebony piano appear much younger.  you didn't say how you like its sound and playability.

Found a small tag w/ 329013.
1949 seems about right.
Thanks,
Bill
