Yes that's right, I own a clavinova for myself, make no mistake guys I'm not here to criticize the piano, but the book that comes with it titled "50 Greats for the piano" compiled by yamaha.

Does anyone have any idea who made up the entire fingering and application of dynamics of the pieces in the book? It totally sucks! It is not beginner -friendly, you have to formulate your own fingerings, and some suggested fingerings is too akward and uses too much hand position/jumps(octaes excluded).! As a person who doesn't have net access nor a decent computer with a printer, I find this highly infuriating.!

Don't know if this should be posted here, but it's not really related to any of the generic topics.
Yup.. still a beginner. Up til now..

When will a teacher accept me? :/

it's just a book that comes with the keyboard with no editing I have the same one.   Generally speaking, very few who purchase a digital piano will ever play any of it.   If you want a real edition than you are going to have to pay for it.  just the way it is.  sorry. :)

Figures, I learned the pathetique on that book, that's why the articulation and the fingerings/movement was sloppy.

And to believe that many members here advised me to follow the suggested fingerings. It's so hard to forget the bad fingerings that the cursed book gave me! I just wanna strangle the life out of the compiler of the book!

I guess that's just how it is, I heard tons of good stuff on imslp.***, since piano music is of so little value(guitar is most popular--yuck) in my area there are no stores with decent piano books/sheet music available.

I would like to warn those who would soon buy a digital piano to avoid the compiled sheet music in the book or use at your own risk(if you're advanced).

they figure if you are advanced enough for the Pathetique you should be able to choose your own fingerings...   don't curse the book--somebody plays it that way....  you are never bound by one edition--it's best to review several editions of every piece you play.

some of those books are REALLY bad though... misprints... downright wrong notes...lol   seek a second opinion when the suggested fingerings don't seem to be working.  where exactly did you have trouble?

Toss that book. It is fine to peruse it to see what sample pieces are loaded up on your digital. And it is entertaining to hear these played out robotically.

However, do yourself a favor and get a real music sheet music. The binding and the paper is better. You cant use that brochure that came w the digital because the pages are printed on thin copy paper.

yep cheap ass paper--the binding just disintegrates...lol

the vast majority of buyers are really purchasing the "dream" of being able to play,  I have seen this happen in adults especially.   They think that book is like gold or something...they come to their first lesson so excited...

"here... :o look I got some music with it, too."  ;D

8)" great! so you know how to read music then?"

"well... :-\  no... but I got some music with it, too"

seriously folks... it happens a lot. lol

Sorry. the Reply took so long, I had a hard time finding a scanner in the place where I work.

Here is the most frustrating fingerings suggested in pathetique I can't keep the phrase fluent in this part.

And here is the most non-beginner friendly invention 1. Little fingering suggestion! I don't believe the book is well arranged for difficulty.

sorry guys if it's slanted, I rushed the scanning process. :D
